Guangdong Museum
Seated in Wenming Road (文明路) No. 215 in Guangzhou (广州) city, Guangdong (广东) province. Guangdong Provincial Museum, a Patriotism Educational Base, was constructed in 1959.
It covers a total area of 4,300,000 sq. m. (1,063 acres) and was the place where students in ancient China took their exams as was referred to as Gongyuan (贡院) by Chinese people.
Inside the Museum, you’ll find the key cultural sites under state protection – old site of the first National Congress of KMT ( including the Revolutionary Square ), Red Chamber, Astronomical Observatory of Sun Yat-sen University and there is also a Museum in honor of the great vernacular Writer Luxun under its governing.

China is reputed as ” A Nation of Porcelain” from ancient times. Here in Guangdong Provincial Museum you’ll have the chance feast your eyes on a rich collection of porcelain products like colored pottery excavated in Qinghai and Gansu province.
On top of all this, the Museum also exhibit a series of exquisite cultural relics like wooden carvings, bamboo carvings, carvings on elephants’ tusk and rhinoceros’ horn and embroidery items and furniture of Guangdong feature.
The Museum opens from 7:00 am to 17:00 pm and closes on Monday. The museum gives out no more than 5000 tickets to visitors.
If you are interested in paying a visit, you have to get one of those tickets by valid credentials. Besides, children under 1.4 m (4.6 ft.) are free of charge.
