Kunming Changshui International Airport
Located at 24 km. (15 mi.) northeast of the city center, Kunming Changshui International Airport, also known as the New Kunming Airport, is the primary Kunming Airport when you travel to Yunnan. As a replacement of the Kunming Wujiaba International Airport, Kunming Changshui International Airport is a hub when you travel to China to explore landscapes like Shangri-la.
Airport Information
Kunming Changshui International Airport came into operation on June 18th, 2012, which is the second largest terminal building in China. There are two terminals in this Kunming airport. Terminal 2 is still under construction and is expected to be completed before 2020.
Terminal 1 has 3 have underground floors, as well as 3 floors above ground and it has 66 gates with jet bridges. Terminal 1 has 68 check-in counters, 30 auto check-in counters and 67 security channels.
The Kunming Changshui International Airport offers you flights both to domestic and oversea’s destinations. When you travel to China from this Kunming airport, you can book cheap tickets to big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu. When you go to international cities, you can also get flights from this airport. Right now, as only Terminal 1 can be used, all flights are depart and arrive at this terminal.
