Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Park are located in Northern Sichuan. Jiuzhaigou was listed as World Cultural Heritage in 1992 together with Huanglong Park. When you travel to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Park, you will have a wonderful experience with lots of charming natural scenery.

Jiuzhaigou Valley, hailed as “Wonderland on Earth” and a “Fairly Tale World”, having great touristic as well as scientific value. While Huanglong is famous for its’ 3 km. (2 mi.) gully filled with pools and ponds of clear water covering colorful mineral deposits in five colors.

Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Park can be visited anytime of the year, as different seasons have distinct beauties that are all worthy of a visit. 

The best season to travel to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Park is probably late autumn. At this time, the clear skies and blazing colors of the leaves contrast with azure lakes and deep forests.

Jiuzhaigou Valley and Huanglong Details:

Jiuzhaigou Valley features a splendid landscape of natural views for travelers. When you travel to Jiuzhaigou Valley, you will find that the turquoise pools account for the most beautiful scenery. Hundreds of beautiful snow mountain lakes, dense virgin forest, different heights of waterfalls, precious animals and snow peaks surrounding all comprise this beautiful and magic nature reserve.

Huanglong Park is filled with terraced waterfalls and colored ponds (including blue, yellow, green and white). It is also famous for the “Six Marvels”: colorful pools, beaches, glaciers, valleys, forest and ancient temples. In a word, it is a wonderful natural landscape with amazing scenery, wide-open landscapes and many temples. Huanglong Park is at a high altitude, so we advise cautious exertions as you hike around. If you are short of breath or feel dizzy, stop and relax until you feel normal again.
