Stroll through Golden Whip Creek, surrounded by crystal streams, wildflowers, and dense forests, and admire panoramic views from scenic cable cars.
You’ll also experience the world’s longest and highest Glass Bridge at Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon and visit Tianmen Mountain, the highest peak in the region, known for its iconic Heaven’s Gate Cave and dramatic skywalks. With comfortable private transfers, expert guides, and well-paced sightseeing, this short yet immersive journey captures the true essence of Zhangjiajie—its soaring peaks, pristine valleys, and awe-inspiring beauty.
Upon arrival, be welcomed by a local driver and then drop off you to the hotel. Overnight in Zhangjiajie.
In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up in the hotel lobby and drive you to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. There, you'll take a cable car to Tianzi Mountain, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Western Sea and its hundreds of majestic peaks. Tianzi Mountain is often described as a miniature fairyland and an expanded bonsai garden.
In the afternoon, you'll be transferred to Yuanjiajie, the location of the iconic Hallelujah Mountains featured in the famous movie "Avatar." This area is the core scenic region of the world natural heritage site. Some of the main viewpoints you'll explore include Zhangjiajie Back Garden, Soul-Lost Terrace, Hallelujah Mountain Peak, The Number-One Bridge, and you'll even have the opportunity to experience the incredible super Bailong elevator.
In the late afternoon, you will be transferred back to your hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay in Zhangjiajie.
Zhangjiajie is famous for its mist-shrouded 'peak-forests,' a natural wonder rarely found elsewhere. In the morning, you will take a cable car to the summit of Huangshizhai (Huangshi Village) to enjoy a panoramic view of the mountainside and the mystical primeval forests. You will also explore famous sights like the Star Picking Stand, Five Finger Peak, and more. Afterward, take the cable car back down and head to explore Golden Whip Creek, named after a whip-shaped rock near the creek. This 7.5-kilometer-long brook is one of the most beautiful places in the entire forest park area. Walk along the paved path by the whispering pristine water to immerse yourself in this tranquil wonderland, surrounded by fresh air, colorful blooming flowers in different seasons, lush vegetation, and the possibility of encountering wild monkeys.
The Four Creeks Gate marks the confluence of the four creeks in the valley. After this, you have the option to visit a local Tu minority's house to get a glimpse into their way of life and perhaps have dinner there to taste local typical food (please note that the dinner price is not included and is optional). You'll spend the night in Zhangjiajie, making for a memorable and immersive experience.
In the morning, you can opt for an adventurous walk across the Glass Bridge at Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon if time allows (approximately a 40-minute drive from your hotel to the Glass Bridge, please note that the price is not included and is optional). Following this, you will drive to Tianmen Mountain, which is located just eight kilometers south of Zhangjiajie Village.
Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area has been designated as the second national forest park in Zhangjiajie. Rising to nearly 1,520 meters (about 4,987 feet), Tianmen is the highest peak in Zhangjiajie and is often considered the 'soul' of the region. The mountain is adorned with graceful trees, karst hillocks, and a variety of medicinal herbs and plants. Tianmen also boasts its 'four wonders,' which include the Tianmen Mountain Cableway, Tongtian Dadao (Avenue Leading to the Sky), Tianmen Cave, and the Bonsai Garden on Air. Additionally, you will be arranged to visit cultural attractions like Tianmen Mountain Temple and experience a short but thrilling walk across the Tianmenshan Glass Skywalk.
After these experiences, you will be escorted to the airport or train station for your departure, concluding your journey with WindhorseTour.
