5 days Chengdu Mount Siguniang overland tour
Itinerary
The Mt. Siguniangshan ( Four-girl mountain) Scenic Area is an unspoiled wilderness park well-known throughout China, located in western Sichuan Province, near the town of Rilong in Aba. It includes one mountain - Mt. Siguniangshan, and three valleys -Shuangqiao Valley, Changping Valley, and Haizi Valley. The blue sky, clouds and mist, snow peaks, ancient cypress forests, rushing waterfalls, alpine meadows and local Tibetan and Qiang folk custom make this area like a fairyland.
Depart Chengdu in the early morning, drive to Danba (altitude 1,800m) by using the new tunnel at Balang mountain, it shortens the driving time to 6 hours. Danba, a county where you may see different Tibetan people and also their unique Danba ancient block towers. You will spend the night in Zhonglu village via a bumpy mountain road. You will explore Zhonglu village, crops fields and wait for the sunset. Overnight at Zhonglu local guest house.
Enjoy the sunrise at Danba Zhonglu village if the weather permits, then head to visit the unique Danba Ancient block towers in Suopo, the grand and high one thousand years tower groups, the Dadu river valley, feeling and taste the folks and customs of Jiarong branch Tibet people. (or if you like hiking, you can also hike to Suopo from Zhonglu, it is a nice 3 hours moderate hiking by crossing one pass where you will have nice views of villages and the river at the foot of the mountain). Late afternoon drive to Rilong town. Overnight at Rilong.
Siguniang mountain was called as the east ALPs, the scenery of this place is much attractive. Today you can spend full day Trekking or riding horse sightseeing of Changping valley, here you can see the four peaks of Mt. Siguniang and virgin forest. Overnight at Rilong.
Note: Horse-riding charge is based on your riding distance, Start point to Erdaoping - RMB50, Xiaganhaizi - RMB100, Lianghekou - RMB150, you can negotiate with the horse owner, the price is calculated for round trip.
Morning drive to visit Shuangqiao Valley. In this valley, you can view more than 10 snow mountains over 4,000m high, all the peaks, trees, grasslands, streams, and water drops are completely bared in their natural being, untouched and unspoiled by man. Afternoon drive back to Dujiangyan. Overnight at Dujiangyan.
After breakfast, visit Dujingyan irrigation system at Yuzui, Feishayan, Baopingkou to know how the ancient people do the project and how it works. Then visit Mt.Qingcheng, take a cable car up to visit the cultural relics and historic sites in the mountains, such as Jianfu Palace, Shangqing Palace, and the Tianshi Cave, etc., then walk down about 2-3 hours. Afterward, drive back to Chengdu, end the trip.

Do I need to apply for special permit or entry pass for this tour, (similar to the one needed for Tibet)? I am a Singaporean

As you are holding Singapore passport, China visa is not required if you are staying in China less than 15 days, including Tibet. No special permit is required for this tour.
