After breakfast at your hotel, drive from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong Park (about 3 hours). Huanglong is renown for its beautiful calcification lakes. If you think you are up for the challenge then, enjoy a 2 hour climb instead of taking the cable car. Given the height of the mountain over 3,000 m. (9,842 ft.) some clients may experience altitude sickness at the top.

Langmusi is a small village straddling the border of Gansu and Sichuan in the Amdo Tibetan Plateau, lines in a beautiful valley surrounded by alpine forests and amazing mountains.

Upon your arrival at Langmusi, check into hotel . In the afternoon you can visit Kirti monastery, on the Sichuan side of the village, is the home to about 750 monks. Hike behind the monasery is also one of the highlights in this area.

Day 05 :

In the early morning you can choose to visit Sertri Monastery on the Gansu side of the village, follow the monastery pilgrimage kora with locals and monks.

The horseback trekking starts around 10 a.m. along the White Dragon River and have lunch at its spring. After lunch continue trekking and by 4 pm, reach a vast grassland where sheep and yaks graze. Today you will stay the night at your nomad host yak wool tent.

After arriving at camp site, we take the halter and saddle off the horses and learn how to make a fire by using yak dung as well as how to use a special Tibetan herding tool called a 'pe'. We join our host family in driving the animals home and tying the yaks up for the night.

Day 06 :
Nomadic culture experience - Horseback trekking back to Langmusi - End the trip.

In early morning, the nomads are busy with their routine: milking, collecting yak dung, churning butter, etc. We highly suggest you take part in one of these activities for a nomadic culture experience.

Getting on to the horse back and starting to head back to Langmusi around 10:00am and normally you will arrive at around 3:00pm. On the way back, stop to visit to a traditional Tibetan village named "Jikehe" and have lunch with one family there. So beside the young people's herding life on the grasslands, you will also get to know the life for old people and children in the village.
