1 day Chengdu Panda Base and Jinsha Museum tour
Itinerary
The Chengdu Giant Panda Research and Breeding Center, also known as Panda Base, is one of the most successful of these panda institutes. The environment here is exquisitely designed with luxurious stands of bamboo and is home, not only to giant panda, but red pandas, black-necked cranes, golden monkeys, and flocks of wild birds. And the tour still includes visiting the Giant Panda Museum.
Jinsha Site museum is located in the northwest of Chengdu, 5 KM from downtown. Jinsha Site was discovered in Feb.2001, and it was the most significant archaeological discoery in the 21 century in China. Covering a total area of 300.000 square meters, the Jinsha Site Museum is a place for visitors to closely observe the excavation of archeological spot and a perfect place to learn the glorious Chinese culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom.
Morning around 07:30-08:00 to be met at your hotel lobby and transferred to Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center, it takes about half an hour. You will catch pandas' feeding time, they are at their most active, both Adults and Babies. Later then watch the film at Panda Story Cinema to know the panda daily life, baby getting birth, etc. Afterwards, drive back to downtown for lunch. Afternoon visit Jinsha Site Museum to learn the glorious Chinese culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom. After Jinsha Museum, drive back to downtown, you can choose to visit China Lanes(Kuai-Zhai Lanes) or Jinli Ancient Streets, which are conservation of old architectural structures that have been implanted with modern decoration in a bustling Chengdu city. Then drive back to your hotel, end the tour.
