Itinerary
Discover the rich cultural and historical heritage of Chengdu in just one day. This private tour covers the city's most iconic landmarks, including the Taoist Qingyang Palace, the poetic Du Fu Thatched Cottage, and the historic Wuhou Shrine. Explore Jinli Ancient Street for a taste of traditional Chengdu charm, and end your cultural journey at the peaceful Wenshu Monastery. With optional add-ons like the famous Sichuan Opera face-changing show, this tour offers the perfect blend of history, local life, and authentic Sichuan flavor—all in one day.
Morning around 08:00-08:30 to be met at your hotel and transferred to visit Qingyang palace, it is a Taoism Temple with more than 1000 years history.
Afterwards drive to visit Du Fu Cottage - the former residence of a very famous poet in Tang dynasty, he wrote more than 240 poems at this cottage reflecting the sorrows of the village. Local Sichuan snackes will be served as lunch.
Afternoon visit Wuhou Temple, which is built for memorial of one Shu kingdom premier during Three Kingdom period. Have a walk at old Jinli street. Later then drive to visit Wenshu Buddhist Temple, it is the largest and best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu which was built in the Tang Dynasty. After Wenshu Temple, you will be transferred back to your hotel, end the trip.

I am currently in Chengdu and have two days here, Thursday and Friday. I enjoy seeing traditional aspects of an area such as workshops where traditional crafts/foods are made, and the every day lifestyle of locals.

Hi, I arrive Chengdu airport 15.10 on 19th October and depart by train 10.20 on the 23rd. Do you have any group tours I could join during the three full days I am in Chengdu. Is it possible to do this tour on 2 separate half days? We will be flying into Chengdu on October 13 around 1:00 and will be transferred to our hotel, the Buddha Zen Hotel. We will have the rest of the afternoon and the morning of October 14th. We will have a bike fitting on the afternoon of October 14th and then meet with our tour group.
