Meet your private guide and driver at your Beijing hotel in the morning and begin at Tiananmen Square, the monumental heart of Beijing.
Walk north into the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Follow the central axis through its monumental gates, ceremonial halls and palace courtyards while your guide introduces the history of China’s imperial court.
After the visit, drive approximately 1.5–2 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall. After lunch, take the cable car to the Wall and spend around 2 hours exploring at your own pace. Walk between historic watchtowers and enjoy views of the Wall winding across the surrounding mountains.
You can descend by foot, cable car or, if available and suitable, the toboggan. Meet your driver and return to your Beijing hotel in the late afternoon, end the trip.
