Challenge yourself by hiking along the Great Wall, this tour aims at adding adventure for any type of active travelers. Enjoy panoramic views from the top of China's oldest defense. Then spend 2 days to explore the many highlights of Beijing. Including: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. One major highpoint is the Hutong tour that will take you through the old and narrow lanes that are slowly disappearing from Beijing.

Day 01 :
Arrive in Beijing

Upon your arrival at Beijing Capital Airport or Beijing Train Station, you will be met and transferred to your hotel by your tour guide and driver in Beijing. You can have a good rest in the hotel or freely explore Beijing city for the rest of the day. Overnight in Beijing.

Day 02 :
Beijing City Tour - Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven

Your first day of Beijing sightseeing tour begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world where many important events are held such as New Year Celebration and other festival activities. Tiananmen Square is also known as the entrance to the magnificent Forbidden City, an ancient architecture complex where 24 Chinese ancient emperors lived and met with their ministers for discussions of national affairs.

After lunch, you will visit Temple of Heaven, a holy place of the Chinese people where emperors of past Dynasties went to offer sacrifices to the God of Heaven and pray for an abundant harvest. Then head to Beijing Hongqiao Pearl Market to see the variety of pearls and jewllery; you can pick some as souvenirs for your friends and family. Enjoy Kungfu Culture Show in the evening. Day 03 :
Jinshanling Great Wall Hiking Tour

An exciting day of hiking to Jinshanling Great Wall begin in the morning when your driver and tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and drive all the way there. It takes around 2.5 hours for your to get to the Jinshanling Scenic Area from downtown Beijing.  

Jinshanling Great Wall is said to be the most stunning and best preserved part of the Great Wall. Located on the junction of Miyun County of Beijing and Luanping County of Hebei province, Jinshanling Great Wall is also a most preferred part of the Great Wall for photographers. The hiking is very tough and challenging, but well worth a try. 

While hiking along the wall, you will pass Crenel Building (Zhuanduokou Tower), the East Terrance Kufang Tower, Xiyu Tower and Shalingkou before you finally reach the edge of Jinshanling Great Wall. Crenel Building is known for its military importance in history and you will find precious inscriped bricks that are of high relic and sightseeing value. Before you reach East Terrance, a most stunning part of Jinshanling Great Wall, you will pass many shooting and loop holes of a variety of designs such as peach, sagittate and zigzag shapes.

Your next stop will be Kufang Tower, a large and representative watchtower of the Great Wall which is deemed as the third line of defense. You can climb up and stand on the watchtower to appreciate a spectacular view of the Great Wall winding in the distance. After passing Xiyu Tower, you will reach Shalingkou where you will see the special Black Tower. The hike takes about 4 hours and you'll be accompanied by your guide through the whole trip. After a tiring hiking on the Great Wall, you may choose to enjoy the Beijing roast duck for dinner (optional). Overnight in Beijing.

Day 04 :
Beijing City Tour - Visit Shichahai Scenic Area plus a Hutong Tour

Morning drive to the old part of Beijing, first you will spend one hour touring around courtyards over 300-years old.

Your English speaking tour guide will give you a detailed explanation of the old courtyard (Siheyuan) - its history, its layout, its Fengshui, and its traditional Chinese culture. Then you will have about 1.5 hour the rickshaw tour driving through the narrow alleys (Hutong) to experience the real life of local Beijing residents.Two people share one rickshaw. Drop off at the Silver Ingot Bridge (Yinding Bridge) and walk along the 800-year old Yandai Xiejie (Tobacco Pipe Lean Street) to the Drum Tower. Visit the big drum tower and have a great view of the surrounding hutongs and traditional courtyards.

You will have the whole afternoon to hang out in bars or shop for some souvenirs for family and friends in this area. Also it's worthwhile to try some of the tasty local snacks. Overnight in Beijing.

Day 05 :
Beijing Airport or Train Station Send-off

In the morning after breakfast, your driver and tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the Beijing Capital Airport or Beijing Train Station to see you off. Your Beijing Tour ends here.
