Begin in Chengdu or Chongqing and fly to Nyingchi, often called the “Switzerland of Tibet” for its alpine valleys and lush forests. Day 01 :
Arrive in Chengdu or Chongqing

Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed by your local driver and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax or explore Chengdu or Chongqing at your leisure.

Day 02 :
Fly to Nyingchi, Visit Biri Holy Mountain – Rest & Acclimatize

Fly to Nyingchi, one of Tibet's most scenic regions, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Tibet" for its breathtaking alpine landscapes. Known for its lush forests, clear rivers, and majestic mountains, Nyingchi offers a stunning contrast to the more arid regions of Tibet. The area is especially famous in spring when the peach blossoms bloom, blanketing the valley in a sea of pink and white. This vibrant display of nature attracts many visitors, particularly from late March to mid-April, during the peak peach blossom season.

Upon arrival at Nyingchi airport, your local Tibetan guide and driver will greet you and transfer you to Bayi town for check-in at your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to Biri Holy Mountain, renowned for its serene beauty and panoramic views. The rest of the day will be dedicated to resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude, allowing you to adjust and prepare for the days ahead. 

Day 03 :
Nyingchi - Gala Peach Blossom Village - Sejila Pass - Guxiang Lake - Bomi (Driving Distance: 230 km, Approx. 5-6 hours)

After breakfast, start morning's visit to Gala Peach Blossom Village, famous for its vast peach orchards that burst into pink and white blossoms in spring. The village offers stunning views of the surrounding valleys and is a perfect spot to capture the beauty of the peach blossoms in full bloom.

Next, drive towards Sejila Pass, a high vantage point that offers panoramic views of Mt. Namche Barwa, one of Tibet’s tallest peaks. The view here is majestic in a clear day, with the towering peak framed by rugged landscapes and valleys.

Continue to Guxiang Lake, a tranquil, hidden gem surrounded by mountains. The peaceful lake, reflecting the towering peaks, creates a serene atmosphere ideal for relaxation and reflection. Finally arrive in Bomi for an overnight stay and relax after a day of exploration.

Day 04 :
Day Trip to Bomi Peach Blossom Valley

Today is dedicated to exploring the Bomi Peach Blossom Valley, a hidden gem famous for its vibrant peach blossoms in spring. The timing of the blossom can vary depending on the altitude and location, with lower-altitude villages like Galang and Runa typically experiencing an earlier bloom, while the higher and more remote villages, such as Yuxu and Qingduo, enjoy blossoms a bit later in the season. The day includes visiting several picturesque villages, including Galang, Runa, Tashi, Qingduo, Bakang, Baiyu, and Yuxu. The valley is renowned not only for its natural beauty but also for the cultural significance of the villages along the way. As you explore, you'll experience the tranquil landscapes of peach orchards in full bloom, offering a serene and unforgettable journey through one of Tibet’s most beautiful springtime regions. Stay overnight at Bomi.

Day 05 :
Day Trip to Ranwu Lake and Midui Glacier (Driving Distance: Approx. 250 km, 5-6 hours)

Start the day with one of the most scenic drives in Tibet along the G318 Highway, winding through Bomi and heading towards Ranwu Lake. The route offers breathtaking views of jagged mountains, dense forests, and meandering rivers, making the journey itself a highlight of the trip.

Arriving at Ranwu Lake, you'll be greeted by crystal-clear waters set against towering snow-capped peaks. The tranquility of the lake and its pristine surroundings create a serene atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful stop. The best time to visit Ranwu Lake is in the spring and autumn, when the lake’s surface mirrors the vibrant colors of the changing landscape.

After enjoying the lake, continue your journey back to Bomi with a detour to Midui Glacier, one of Tibet's most beautiful glaciers, known for its stunning ice formations and dramatic surroundings. After exploring this frozen wonder, head back to Bomi for a restful evening.

Day 06 :
Bomi - Tashigang Village - Lulang Forest - Bayi Town (Driving Distance: Approx. 230 km, 4.5-5 hours)

After breakfast, depart Bomi and head to Tashigang Village, a peaceful Tibetan settlement nestled among beautiful mountain landscapes. The village offers a glimpse into traditional rural life, with its terraced fields and simple stone houses.

Continue to Lulang Forest, a scenic pine forest known for its lush greenery and vibrant spring blooms. The area is home to diverse wildlife and offers a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Finally, drive on to Bayi Town for overnight.

Day 07 :
Bayi - Basumtso Lake - Lhasa (Driving Distance: Approx. 450 km, 5-6 hours)
Basum Tso Lake Nyingchi

Today, you’ll continue westward towards Lhasa along the Lhasa-Nyingchi highway, following the course of the Nyang River, a tributary of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, offering stunning views of the rugged Tibetan Plateau. Along the way, make a detour to visit Draksum Tso Lake, a revered holy site in Tibetan Buddhism, particularly by the Nyingmapa school. This crescent-shaped lake is nestled in a mountain gorge, known for its clear, azure waters. From the Daqiela Viewing Platform, take in panoramic views of the lake, framed by lush forests and towering snow-capped peaks. On the heart-shaped island in the lake stands the Tsodzong Monastery, a 1,500-year-old temple that exudes peace and spirituality.

Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Draksum Tso Lake, surrounded by blooming peach blossoms, adding a lovely contrast against the emerald green forests and the snow-capped mountains.

Afterward, continue your drive to Lhasa, passing Mila Pass (5,013 meters), the final mountain pass before descending into the fertile valley that leads to Lhasa.

Day 08 :
Lhasa City Tour – Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Street

Start your exploration of Lhasa with a visit to the iconic Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most important landmarks in Tibet. This stunning structure, once the winter residence of the Dalai Lama, offers breathtaking views and intricate Tibetan architecture. You’ll then head to Jokhang Temple, another UNESCO-listed site and the spiritual heart of Lhasa. This temple is revered by Tibetans as the holiest site in the region. Afterward, take a stroll through the Barkhor Street, a bustling pilgrimage route surrounding the Jokhang Temple. This vibrant market offers a glimpse into Tibetan culture, with street vendors selling traditional items, and locals performing their religious rituals.

Day 09 :
Lhasa Monastery Tour – Drepung Monastery & Sera Monastery

Today, visit two of the most important monasteries in Lhasa: Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Drepung, once the largest monastery in the world, offers a fascinating insight into Tibetan Buddhism, with its grand halls and spiritual atmosphere. Then, head to Sera Monastery, known for its lively debates among monks (15:00 - 17:00, available from Monday to Saturday), who engage in intellectual discussions about Buddhist philosophy. Both monasteries showcase Tibetan religious traditions and beautiful Tibetan architecture.

Day 10 :
Departure from Lhasa – End of Trip

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Lhasa Gonggar Airport or the train station for your departure, bringing your unforgettable journey through Tibet to a close. Safe travels and a wealth of cherished memories from your time in Tibet!
