Itinerary
You will be greeted at Kathmandu airport upon your arrival by our local guide, then transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. Free explore Kathmandu on your own for the rest of today. We would suggest you stroll on Thames, the popular tourist hub in the capital city Kathmandu, where the narrow streets are full filed with stores, restaurants, cafes and bars etc.
After breakfast, you will be guided to have a Kathmandu city tour to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu including Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at Kathmandu.
After breakfast, drive about 1 hour to Sundarijal, the starting point of today’s trek and entry for the Shivapuri National park. The trekking route will be inside the dense forest of Shivapuri National Park, and it offers incredible valley view, diverse nature and varieties of flora and fauna. You will stop at Tamang village Mulkharkaa for the authentic Nepali Dal bhat. Chisapani offers you a broad view of Himalayas. Overnight at Chisapani.
Wake up early morning to see the sunrise from Chisopani with panoramic view of 20 snow covered mountains. Then start off to continue walking through Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park and forest land, an abundance of wildlife will be spotted here.
Trek down to the settlement of Chauki Bhanjyang or Jhule for lunch. After lunch walk towards Nagarkot on long flat hiking trails and enjoy the beautiful landscapes, local village and rice paddy along the way. A final short climb at the end brings you to Nagarkot.
Perched at the edge of Kathmandu Valley, Nagarkot gives you one of the widest panoramas of the Himalayan ranges. The mighty Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, Jugal, Everest, Numbur, Ganesh Himal and the Rolwaling ranges can be seen from Nagarkot on a clear day!
Early morning enjoy the breathtaking sunrise panoramic views of Himalayan mountains including Mount Everest Range, then have a relaxing breakfast at your hotel before heading to Bhaktapur and Patan, another two ancient royal cities sitting in the Kathmandu Valley, visiting these two places will lead you step into a new world filled with mind-blowing architecture and a unique lifestyle of the Newari people.
At Bhaktapur Durbar Square you will witness the unique culture and most pleasing display of craftsmanship, Lion Gate, Golden Gate, Art Gallery, Statue of King Bhupindra, Nyatopola Temple, and fifty-five windowed Malla Palace are the living pride of Bhaktapur. You will tour all these places along with the backstreets to see some traditional artworks. Afterwards drive to Patan. Patan is referred to as ‘the city of arts’ due to its vibrant and outstanding wood carved buildings. You will witness plenty of artistic works and elegant monuments when you visit Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This place highlights the perfect Newari architecture and culture of Nepal. Drive to Kathmandu for overnight.
