4 days Mount Emei hiking tour
Mount Emei Hiking from the foot of the mountain to the Golden Summit along the paths and stairs enables you to explore and engage the magnificence of Mount Emei in a different way. The hiking could be easy or tough.
Itinerary
Morning around 08:00 to be met and transferred to Leshan. On the way enjoy the beautiful countryside landscape of western Chengdu Plains. In Leshan visit the biggest sitting Buddha sculpture in the Lingyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 year's construction and enjoys the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world with a 71-meter height. Carved on the cliff face, the sculpture is well designed with perfect balance and effective water drainage system. Here you can choose to climb up the hill to see the big Buddha and the temple behind or take the boat tour to see the whole view of the Buddha.
After lunch, drive to Mt.Emei, check into the hotel. Afterward, you will be arranged to visit Baoguo Temple. Overnight Emei Shan.
The hiking tour starts today and it will last for 6-7 hours. Starting by walking to Fuhu Temple, then Leiyin Temple, Shenshui Temple, Qingyin Pavilion all the way to Hongchun Ping, if your pace is quick enough, you will be able to make it to Xianfeng Temple where you can spend the overnight.
Morning after breakfast, continue the hiking tour to Jiuling Knoll, the Elephant Pool, and onto the Golden Summit. If you feel a bit tired, then up to Jinyin Palace, you can choose to take the cable car to save 2 hours hiking. Overnight at Golden Summit.
In the morning you can enjoy the spectacular sunrise, visit the Huazang temple, Golden summit Buddha Statue. On a clear day you will also see the Gongga Mountain which is the highest peak in Sichuan. After lunch takes a sightseeing bus down to Baoguo Si bus park, our driver will meet you there and drive back to Chengdu. End your tour once you arrive at your hotel in Chengdu.
