This short 5-day Tibet tour includes two days of Lhasa city sightseeing and a one-day excursion to the holy lake - Namtso. Lhasa, the historic capital city of Tibet, is a dream destination for travelers from all over the world, with its golden sunshine and blue sky. It holds great significance as a pilgrimage destination for Tibetans and Buddhists, with pilgrims performing full-body prostrations around the Jokhang temple and Bakhor Street. Drepung and Sera Monasteries, two of the largest Gelupa monasteries in the Lhasa area, are also worth visiting. Namtso is situated in the vast North-Tibet Grasslands and is considered one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. With its vibrant turquoise water surrounded by snow-capped mountains, Namtso Lake is a must-see during your Tibet Trip. As Namtso Lake is about 250km away from Lhasa, if possible, we recommend to plan a two-day trip with an overnight stay at a local tent guest house.
