Gain an overview but impressive understanding of Shanghai with this short four day tour. Though an emerging metropolis, it possesses age-old classical gardens and streets dating back to Ming dynasty. Put yourself right in the middle of the cultural collision of China and the west. Balanced with Shanghai non-stop attitude, nearby Zhujiajiao town presents a typical water country scenery. Take a boat on the waterway or just relax in a tranquil teahouse.

A perfect fit for foreign professionals already within China or travlers with a few extra days in Shanghai.

Day 01 :
Arrive at Shanghai

Upon your arrival at Shanghai, your local guide will meet you at the airport and drive you to the hotel. After checking in choose to have a rest or start to explore with your guides or on your own.

Day 02 :
Shanghai City One Day Tour

Start off this tour with a stop at beautiful Yuyuan or more commonly known as Yu Garden. A lush must-visit spots for travelers from all over the world. Yu Garden's history dates back to the Ming dynasty. Experience the classical garden art that is famous along the south Yangtze river.

A short walk from the gardens will take you to one of Shanghai's Old Streets, that dates back to the late Qing dynasty and early Republic of China. Ramble along on this old street known as Miaoqian Dajie. A great place to grab some early souvenirs or taste some of Shanghai's famous snacks.

After snacking all morning or lunch, your choice, continue on the Shanghai Museum. One of China's best museum. It's a golden chance for you to learn about ancient China and view the more than 100,000 antiques, painting and calligraphy.

A 20 minutes drive across Shanghai will get you to Xintiandi, where cars are not allowed to enter. Built around a one typical Shanghai residential architecture known as Shikumen. With a strong French influence you can experience the integration of architecture and culture between China and the western world.

Head toward the Huangpu River that famously divides Shanghai massive city in half. You will already have noticed the ominous Pearl Oriental TV Tower an international symbol of Shanghai. Standing as the fifth tallest building in the world. Take a lift with your guide to the observation deck and have a commanding view of the city, like none other.

Relax after what will have been a full day with an evening dinner cruise along the Huangpu River or a Shanghai acrobatic show. Perhaps you want to visit some of the local pubs or bars, no matter your local guide will help make the plan a success. When done return to your hotel and recharge for tomorrow.

Day 03 :
Zhujiajiao Half Day Tour

When ready to go your Shanghai guide and driver will head out to the Shanghai suburbs for a one hour drive to visit Zhujiajiao. Famous for its long standing history and beautiful water country scenery. There are over 35 hand built stone bridges that are a key part of the Zhujiajiao ambiance.

A pleasant change after experiencing Shanghai's hustle, you will easily be attracted by its tranquility and quietness. This ancient town along with its elaborate bridges, is full of small gardens and street mixed between small canals like Venice and Suzhou.

In the afternoon leisurely travel back to Shanghai where there is free structured time. Options can easily include shopping at Nanjing Road, a visit to the Bund, return to the Shanghai Museum or perhaps a Huangpu River Cruise.

Hello. We are two persons travelling together and we will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Putuo. We are arriving on November 13 at Pudong Airport. We are leaving on November 17 on a Royal Caribbean cruise from the cruise terminal.

We are looking at getting the transfers and the tours during the days we are in Shanghai. Do you offer this service and what tours would this include? Thanks.
