1 day Chengdu City tour
Itinerary
This tour will take you to know the ancient history and culture background of chengdu city. Highlights include Wuhou temple, Du Fu Cottage, Qingyang Daosim Temple, Wenshu Buddist Monastery. Today you still have a chance to taste the local Sichuan snacks and the delicious Wenshu Vegetarian food.
Morning around 08:00-08:30 to be met at your hotel and transferred to visit Qingyang palace, it is a Taoism Temple with more than 1000 years history.
Afterwards drive to visit Du Fu Cottage - the former residence of a very famous poet in Tang dynasty, he wrote more than 240 poems at this cottage reflecting the sorrows of the village. Local Sichuan snackes will be served as lunch.
Afternoon visit Wuhou Temple, which is built for memorial of one Shu kingdom premier during Three Kingdom period. Have a walk at old Jinli street. Later then drive to visit Wenshu Buddhist Temple, it is the largest and best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu which was built in the Tang Dynasty. After Wenshu Temple, you will be transferred back to your hotel, end the trip.

Is it possible to do this tour on 2 separate half days? We will be flying into Chengdu on October 13 around 1:00 and will be transferred to our hotel, the Buddha Zen Hotel. We will have the rest of the afternoon and the morning of October 14th. We will have a bike fitting on the afternoon of October 14th and then meet with our tour group.

Hi, I arrive Chengdu airport 15.10 on 19th October and depart by train 10.20 on the 23rd. Do you have any group tours I could join during the three full days I am in Chengdu. I am travelling alone and my budget doesn’t cover a personal tour. I would wish Panda centre, irrigation project, Leshan Buddha and city tour. Could you provide any of those please.
