How to Get to Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu?
There are three main ways to get to Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu in 2025: by high-speed train, flight, or private car.
The most popular and comfortable option is taking the high-speed train from Chengdu to Huanglong-Jiuzhai Station (~2 hours) in Chuanzhusi town, followed by a 1.5–2 hour transfer by car or shuttle bus to Jiuzhaigou National Park or the hotel near the park entrance.
You can also fly from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou(1 hour trip). The Jiuzhai Huanglong airport (JZH) is located near Chuanzhusi Town, with a similar 1.5–2 hour transfer to the park, just like the high-speed train option.
For a flexible and personalized trip, hiring a private car with driver is a good choice, especially if you want to explore other places like Heishui or Mount Siguniang before or after Jiuzhaigou. Long-distance buses from Chengdu are available but take 8–10 hours.
