This classical 5 Day Beijing tour presents the glorious past of old Beijing city with a wide collection of popular attractions some including: the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Summer Palace. Expanding on our 4 day City tour enjoy a day of hiking along the Great Wall and a remarkable visit to historical Hutongs . All of this and more will help ensure every day is filled with rewards!

Upon your arrival at Beijing Capital Airport or Beijing Train Station, you will be met by your local guide and driver who will then transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to recover in the hotel or explore Beijing. Your guide can give you some suggestions on where to go and what to see. Overnight in Beijing.


After breakfast, your will begin your first day of sightseeing in Beijing accompanied by your guide. Your first stop will be Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world which is now an assembling place for the Chinese people on important festival occasions such as the New Year Celebration. In the north end of Tian'anmen Square, you will find the Forbidden City which used to be the living and working quarter of 24 ancient Chinese emperors.
In the afternoon, you will visit Temple of Heaven, a holy place for the Chinese people where ancient Chinese emperors went annually to offer sacrifices to the God of Heaven and pray for an abundant harvest. Then go to Beijing Hongqiao Pearl Market to enjoy the variety of Pearls and jewelry; you may pick some for friends and family. Enjoy Chinese Kungfu Show in the evening. Overnight in Beijing.



In the morning, after 2.5 hours of drive, you will reach Mutianyu Great Wall, a less-crowded section of the Great Wall where cable cars are available to take you up and down a good section. You can stroll freely through the watch towers and enjoy a panoramic view of the wall winding its way across hills and mountains.
After lunch, you will spend a pleasant afternoon visiting Changling, a well-preserved major tomb among a cluster of Ming tombs which is located about 50 kilometers northwest of Beijing center. Upon arrival at Ming tombs, the first thing you will see is the Sacred Way in front of it which is believed to be a holy path leading ancient Chinese emperors, the son of the Heaven to the road of Heaven.
On your way back to downtown Beijing, you will have time to get a glimpse of the iconic architecture of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube where major sports events were held in the 2008 Olympic Game. You may have Beijing roast duck for dinner (optional) Overnight in Beijing.



Morning drive to the old part of Beijing, first you will spend one hour touring around the 300-year old courtyard. Your English speaking tour guide will give you a detailed explanation of the old courtyard ( Siheyuan ) - its history, its layout, its Fengshui, and its traditional Chinese culture. Then you will have about 1.5 hour the rickshaw tour driving through the narrow alleys(Hutong) to experience the real life of local Beijing residents.Two people share one rickshaw. Drop off at the Silver Ingot Bridge( Yinding Bridge ) and walk along the 800-year old Yandai Xiejie ( Tobacco Pipe Lean Street ) to the Drum Tower. Visit the big drum tower and have a great view of the surrounding hutongs and traditional courtyards.
In the afternoon, you will be driven to the Summer Palace which is located about 12 kilometers northwest of the city center and is a well-preserved royal garden famous for its enthralling scenery and spectacular ancient architecture of the Qing Dynasty. It's also noted as one of the four classical gardens in China (the other three being Chengde Palace Summer Resort, Suzhou Administrators' Garden and Suzhou Lingering Garden) and is the largest in scale so far in China. Overnight in Beijing.

In the morning after breakfast, you tour guide and driver will transfer you to Beijing Capital Airport or Beijing Train Station to see you off.
