Tashilhunpo Monastery is founded by the First Dailai Lama in 1447 and is the seat of Panchen Lama with nearly 800 lamas. Tashilhunpo is one of the six largest monasteries in Tibet, located at the foot of Drolmari (Tara's Mountain), Shigatse. Standing at the entry of Tashihunpo, you can see the grand buildings famous for its' golden roofs and white walls.
