Lake Basum-Tso, also called Tsokou, means "green water" in Tibetan. It is a stunning highland lake lying 90 kilometers west of Kongpo Gymdo County. Lake Basum-Tso is a holy lake of Nyingmapa order of Tibetan Buddhism. Lake Basum -Tso is very beautiful, you can see the pristine waters of this green lake reflect the picturesque snow-capped peaks surrounding the lake. There are fishes shoaling in the water and birds circling in the air. Another attraction of Basum Lake is the northwest bank of the lake where travelers can find gigantic stones with huge hole. You can walk pass it if you dare!
