Day 01 :
Fly to Jiuzhaigou (Or take the public bus to Jiuzhaigou)

Today you can choose to take the flight or bus to Jiuzhaigou.

If you take the flight to Jiuzhaigou, then we suggest you that you take noon or afternoon flight. Upon arrival at Jiuzhai-Huanglong Airport, you will be met by your local guide and driven about 2.5 hours to Jiuzhaigou where you will spend the night. Rest assured that along the way there are snow-capped mountains, majestic rivers and Tibetan villages for your eyes to feast on. Upon arrival you will be assisted to check at the hotel and you may choose to take in a local culture dinner show.

If you choose to take the public bus from Chengdu, then our agency will assist you book the bus tickets in advance. The bus normally departs around 8am from Xinnanmen bus station and drive about 8-9 hours along the Minjiang River by passing Wenchuan, Maoxian and Songpan. Upon arrival at the Jiuzhaigou bus station, you will be greeted by local guide and go to hotel to check in. 

Day 02 :
Sightseeing in Jiuzhaigou National Park

Prepare yourself for a visual feast today! You will have a full day to explore the spectacular Jiuzhaigou National Park: with its’ crystal clear lakes, waterfalls, virgin forest and much more. Along with nearby Tibet villages and beyond. Choose to walk up or take one of the pollution free sightseeing buses to the top of the valley, then walk down. No matter which one you select you will certainly appreciate the world famous scenery that makes this a UNESCO World Heritage Site.In the evening, you will have the chance to see a local Tibetan - Qiang minority Culture show (ticket cost not included). Overnight at Jiuzhaigou.

Day 03 :
Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong Park - Songpan County

After breakfast at your hotel, drive from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong Park (about 3 hours). Huanglong is renown for its beautiful calcification lakes. If you think you are up for the challenge then, enjoy a 2 hour climb instead of taking the cable car. Given the height of the mountain over 3,000 m. (9,842 ft.) some clients may experience altitude sickness at the top.

Once at the top spend 2 hours or so enjoying the spectacular lakes and natural wonders. When ready descend back towards the park’s entrance where you will meet your driver. For a late afternoon arrival at Songpan. Overnight at Songpan County.

Day 04 :
Songpan County - Ruo'ergai - Langmusi

Morning start heading to Langmusi, which is about 4 hours driving from Songpan, on the way enjoy the rolling grasslands filled with yaks and nomads. 

Langmusi is a small village straddling the border of Gansu and Sichuan in the Amdo Tibetan Plateau, lines in a beautiful valley surrounded by alpine forests and amazing mountains.

Upon your arrival at Langmusi, check into hotel . In the afternoon you can visit Kirti monastery, on the Sichuan side of the village, is the home to about 750 monks. Hike behind the monasery is also one of the highlights in this area. 

Day 05 :
Horseback trekking to Nomad camp site - roughly 4 hours horseback trekking

In the early morning you can choose to visit Sertri Monastery on the Gansu side of the village, follow the monastery pilgrimage kora with locals and monks. 

The horseback trekking starts around 10 a.m. along the White Dragon River and have lunch at its spring. After lunch continue trekking and by 4 pm, reach a vast grassland where sheep and yaks graze. Today you will stay the night at your nomad host yak wool tent. 
 

After arriving at camp site, we take the halter and saddle off the horses and learn how to make a fire by using yak dung as well as how to use a special Tibetan herding tool called a 'pe'. We join our host family in driving the animals home and tying the yaks up for the night.

Day 06 :
Nomadic culture experience - Horseback trekking back to Langmusi - End the trip.

In early morning, the nomads are busy with their routine: milking, collecting yak dung, churning butter, etc. We highly suggest you take part in one of these activities for a nomadic culture experience. 
 

Getting on to the horse back and starting to head back to Langmusi around 10:00am and normally you will arrive at around 3:00pm. 
 

If you need to be back in Langmusi earlier please inform us and we can depart earlier in the morning.

After you get back to Langmusi, end the travel with WindhorseTour. We provide both private transfer or public bus tickts booking to your next travel destination.

From Langmusi there is direct bus from Langmusi to Xiahe or Ruo'ergai. For more public bus schedule, please feel free to write to us.

I have around 6 to 8 persons but 2 are elderly around 60years old.
Will they be suitable for this tour and do you also provide chengdu tour?

I' m interested for Jiuzhaigou Huanglong National Parks and Songpan Horse Trekking (By Air) - 6 Days. please see my requested as below:

- 4 visitor
- Depature date Oct 17,2013 and back in Oct 24,2013 please pick up at the airport and provide the hotet for first day also. Please booking 2 rooms for twin 2-3 stars hotel.
-We would like to stay more at Jiuzhaigou national park total days travelling 7 days.

Hi I am interested to know about tour package for Jiuzhaigou and Chengdu. Myself and my husband are from Singapore and we will be arriving at Chengdu on 20 July at 6.30a.m. and will be leaving from chengdu on 25 July at 11.50 p.m. I would like to tour around Jiuzhaigou and may be a day in Chengdu during the 6 days tour.
