My name is Chi Chiu, my wife and I signed up for a short tour of Lhasa, Tibet in October, 2014, and I would like to take this opportunity to convey our appreciation.
Too often, we customers are too busy in our own importance and lament the smallest inconvenience, and fail to recognize the extraordinary effort by tour providers like Windhorse to ensure the delivery of a good tour. As such, I would like to convey our most sincere thanks to you and your agent Yuki in making sure our Tibet trip went smoothly.
Yuki was exceptional in keeping us abreast of the tour booking and the permit status. Our vacation began before the special permit to Tibet was issued. The plan was that Yuki would express-mail the permit to our hotel in Shangri-La. Unfortunately, our communication via GMail was essentially terminated due to the blocking of anything Google by the Chinese government. The day before we were to enter Tibet, we were notified by phone that the permit was lost. In a mad scramble, Yuki was able to arrange a private taxi to take us back to Lijiang, picked up the permit that the express mail company had finally tracked down, and then rearranged a flight to depart from Lijiang instead. While it did cost us to lose a little vacation time, it saved our trip to Tibet.
The Tibet trip was wonderful, an experience of a life time, and would have been void had it not because of Yuki's exemplary effort to salvage a terrible situation beyond her control. A company's success largely depends on its staff. With a dedicated employee like Yuki, Windhorse will no doubt continue to succeed.
