We had always wanted to visit Lhasa and after researching available tour providers we settled on a 4 day visit with Windhorsetours.com. All our arrangements were dealt with via e mail with professional service provided throughout. As we were going to be arriving in Lhasa from Kathmandu, we were required to obtain a Chinese Group Visa which could only be obtained from the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. It was arranged for a Windhorse Tours representative to meet us at our hotel in Kathmandu to pick up the necessary documents and payment from us in order to secure our visa for us. This was done with no problems. On arrival at Lhasa airport we were met by our guide Tsomo and a driver who transferred us to out hotel and arranged suitable times for our 2 days of sightseeing. The tour took in most of the main sights including Potala palace, Jokang Temple and Deprung and Seta Monasteries. We have to say that although our dealings with the company were satisfactory, it was our guide Tsomo who really made our visit one to remember. Her vast knowledge and passion for her country and its history was highly impressive. She also took us to a couple of really good local restaurants for lunches and had a really good sense of humor. Ours was one of her last tours as she was due to have a baby around springtime this year. We could both like to thank her once again for her service as our tour guide and to wish her and her family the best of luck on the future.

The most memorable part about my WindhorseTour is . . .:
the Potala Palace and Jokang Temple and Drepung and Sera Monasteries.
