Panda Volunteer Tour provides you a great chance to interact with these lovely Giant Pandas!!
Morning around 07:30am to be met at your hotel lobby and transferred to Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center, it takes about half an hour. You will spend one full day staying with these lovely panda bears and also the panda base staff who have dedicated their lives to Giant Pandas. You will receive a training on how to care for pandas and the guidelines for working with your panda keeper.
At the end of the program, each participant is issued a certificate which proves your volunteering at the base.
Following a short training/orientation, volunteer service might include but not be limited to:
- Cleaning panda areas and enclosures
- Cleaning general areas of the Panda Centers
- Preparing food for the pandas such as carrots, apples, panda bread and their nutritional biscuits
- Carrying lots of bamboo
- Sometimes you might be able to help collect behavioral data
You will also have plenty of time to watch and photograph the pandas.
In additional, you can also pay extra to take photos with Giant Pandas or hold Panda bears, this is another way for a donation for the reserve.
Remark: A volunteer program lasts 1 day up to one month. Activities can be flexible and the programs can be redesigned according to different group sizes, time available, participants needs and interests and other factors.
