Drive to Kangding via Ya'an. The ride is comfortable in the morning but will getting tougher in the afternoon. You'll pass Erlang mountain-the first pass of the countless high mountains on the Sichuan-Tibet highway. You will arrive at Kangding-the capital city of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. After dinner, enjoy the hot spring at Erdaoqiao.
In the morning visit Kangding Mugecuo Scenic Area, after lunch drive to Xindu Qiao. Cross over the Mt. Zheduo at an elevation of 4300m, visit the Xindu Qiao, which is known as the paradise for photographing, you will have plenty time to stop here to take photos. After another 75km drive, you will reach Yajiang County (2600m). Overnight at Yajiang.
Today drive from Yajiang to our trip destination Daocheng via Litang, in the morning pass two 4300m high mountains-the Jianziwan & Kazila mountain. Lunch at Litang . With its 4010m altitude, the county is no doubt the highest city in the world. In addition to its beautiful scenery & spectacular local Tibetan customs, another tourist attraction is the Hose-racing Festival in every August. Therefore, if you are here at the very right time, you'll never miss the chance for the hose-racing & dressing show. Another 146km ride to Daocheng will be continued after the visit to a Tibetan monastery. Daocheng is a county that you will enjoy because of its rich soil & Tibetan culture, and a good place for recharging yourself before Yading. You may relax yourself by bathing at the hot spring & the Tibetan local dancing show.
Drive to Yading Nature Reserve through Daocheng - Riwa (Shangrila) village after breakfast, the countryside scenery en route is very charming and the road is perfect, it drives approximately 2 hours. After reach Yading, take a horse-riding to Chonggu Temple, see the scenery of Chonggu Temple and holy peak Xiannairi. From Chonggu Temple trekking up to Drolma-la tso ( Pearl Lake) or ride a horse about 15minutes. Pearl Lake is the best place to view the holy peak Xiannairi. Overnight at Yading Muwu Camping Tent(dorm bed).
Note: Food at Yading Nature Reserve is package food, and accommodation will be dorm bed or camping.
See sunrise at Ghonggu Temple, then keep riding horse to Luorong Pasture. It is the best location to pilgrim the three saint peaks of Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xialuoduojie. Afternoon ride horse back to Yading village and drive back to Daochen. Have the famous Rupuchaka hot springs and enjoy the local Tibetan dancing and singing performance. Overnight at Daochen.
Drive back after breakfast, en route pass Litang, Yajiang. Overnight at Xinduqiao.
After taking photos for Xinduqiao morning, drive to Tagong, which is surrounded by grassy hills and snowy mountains, visit Tagong monastery. Afterwards drive to Danba via Bamei, the scenery along the road is absolutely fabulous
Danba, a county where you may see different Tibetan people and also their unique Danba ancient block towers. Afternoon you will be arranged to visit at Jiaju Village because of its scenery & architecture, other grand and high tower groups, Dadu river valley. The sky towering thousand-years old Diaos (stock house) are the unique landscape on your way. Overnight at Daba.
Morning start driving from Danba back to Chengdu along Dadu river(Wadan road), after lunch at Luding, go through Er'lung Tunnel, reach Chengdu late afternoon, end the trip.
