Day 01: Arrival in Kunming
Upon arrival at Kunming airport, to be met and transferred to your hotel by Kunming local tour guide. Rest of the day is on your own. Overnight at Kunming.
Day 02: Kunming (B+L)
Today full day tour is arranged to visit the Qiongzhu Temple and the Stone Forest in Lunan. Qiongzhu temple is located in the west outskirt of Kunming, it is outstanding for its five hundred colorful statues of arhats produced in the Qing dynasty. Nowadays these statues have become precious cultural heritage in Buddhism. In the whole afternoon, you will immerse yourself in the Stone Forest which covers an area of 400 square kilometers in Lunan and is really the marvelous spectacle of nature. Consisting of seven scenic spots like Major Stone Forest, Minor Stone Forest, Naigu Stone Forest, Strange Wind Cave, Zhiyun Cave, Long Lake, Dadie Waterfall and other attractions, the Stone Forest now is praised as one of the four most famous natural sceneries in China.Overnight at Kunming.
Day 03: Kunming / Dali by flight (B+L)
Today you will take an early morning flight to Dali. Your local guide will meet you at airport and transfer you to the hotel. Visit the Erhai Lake Park, the Three Pagoda Temple and the Dali Old Town. The Erhai Lake is a famous plateau lake in Dali with an altitude of 1972 meters. Due to less pollution, the water is very blue and peaceful that it is long been known as Pearl at the Plateau. The Three Pagoda Temple is regarded as the cultural symbol of Dali Ancient town and is a typical architecture style of Tang Dynasty. In the afternoon you will stroll around Dali Ancient town to feel the atmosphere of the town. Overnight at Dali.
Day 04: Dali / Lijiang (B+L)
Morning after breakfast at hotel, then drive to Lijiang, the journey takes about three hours. On the way, visit a local market, the tie-dying in Zhoucheng and the Yan's Compound of Bai Minority in Xizhou. Upon arrival in Lijiang, you will be transferred to check in the local hotel in old town. Afternoon visit the Square Street of the Lijiang Old Town which is in the center of the town. Four streets stretch out in four directions and stores are standing one by one. You will find various kinds of goods or snacks on the street. Overnight at Lijiang.
Day 05: Lijiang (B+L)
Toady you will visit the Baisha Village with its famous murals and also see Joseph Rock's former residence in Yuhu Village. You will also be arranged to visit a local Naxi Family to acquaint yourself with some Naxi culture and their daily life. The rest of day is free for you to explore the town on your own. You can wander through the beautiful town to enjoy the stone bridges, clear streams, the paths and the traditional design of the local houses in a leisure and peaceful way in the town. In the evening, you will enjoy the Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance at Dongba Palace. Overnight at Lijiang.
Day 06: Lijiang / Tiger Leaping Gorge / Shangri-la (B+L)
Morning drive to Shangri-La(Zhongdian) and transfer you to the hotel. On the way to Shangri-La, visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge, the First Bend of the Yangtze River and the Stone Drum Town. The Tiger Leaping Gorge is located about 100 kilometers northwest of Lijiang between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain and it is the deepest gorge in the world with an height of 3790 meters. Day 07: Shangri-la (B+L)
The day highlight tour will take you to visit the Songzanlin Temple, also known as Guihua Monastery, which is the biggest Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Yunnan. The monastery is built imitating the layout of the Polata Palace in Lhasa and hence came the alias 'the little Potala Palace'. Then visit the Bitahai Lake, Shudu Lake and a Tibetan family. The Bitahai Lake is well-known for its limpid water and the beautiful natural scenery against the mountains and forests. Overnight at Shangri-la.
Day 08: Shangri-la / Kunming by flight (B+L)
Take a flight to Kunming and transfer you to the hotel. Today you will visit the Golden Temple which is a famous Taoism temple. The Daguan Park and the Flowers and Birds Market will be followed afterwards. Overnight at Kunming.
Day 09: Departure from Kunming (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight to the next destination.
